Anne Marie and Andrew's Birthday Gathering

Starting from Anne Marie going clockwise:
Katelyn, Jenna, Amy, Andrew, Thomas, David, Heath, Hayden, and Hunter.

Hey! Anne Marie here. :)
Last night we had some of our closest friends over to celebrate my 17th birthday and Andrew's 15th birthday. We had tacos for dinner, played a few games, talked (A LOT) and had ice cream and cookies for dessert. For one of our games, we quizzed everyone about Andrew and I. The 1st and 2nd place winners got a 10$ Chick Fil A gift card. We are so thankful for this group!

Andrew's gifts. :) Our friends, the Quicks, are huge Duck Dynasty fans like us. They were sure to deck Andrew out in DD merchandise. ;) The Crenshaws (Amy, Jenna, and David) gave him a Starbucks gift card.

The Quicks gave me a camouflage hoodie. When I went out to my car this morning, I found something on my steering wheel from their middle boy, Heath! I got such a kick out of that surprise! Also, thank you, Crenshaws for the Starbucks card!

We are so incredibly thankful for God's goodness and for the people He has placed in our lives. He is SO GOOD!

"He put your feet on a wonderful road
that took you straight to a good place to live.
So thank God for his marvelous love,
for his miracle mercy to the children he loves.
He poured great draughts of water down parched throats;
the starved and hungry got plenty to eat." Psalm 107:4-9 (MSG)

Texas Country Reporter Festival - Waxahachie

On the bus headed to Arlington to spend Friday night.
Satin Strings prays together before they perform.
Jake said his family coming made it a "perfect experience."
Both the Crowells and Nienstadts had very busy days - activities before and after the performance, but they navigated the traffic and a crowd of thousands and made us feel so honored with their presence.

Toby watching Jake and the orchestra prepare backstage.

What can I say about this pic? I am one blessed Aunt JuJu!

So grateful for these sisters! Missed the other two.
Again, what can I say about this picture?

You can see sweet Hannah raising her hands and cheering for Jake.
Hugging Faith in between songs. When the group took a break from strolling through the audience, Jake stopped right in front of the blondies who wiggled into the front row.
  Serenading the blondies!

Thanks for making a video clip for us, Ryno!

Gotta love Aunt Jo!
Marching in the parade earlier in the day through downtown Waxahachie.
A wonderful two days with the Satin Strings and my family!

What we've been up to....

Above- Thomas learning about gravity and the solar system in Classical Conversations.  We are so thankful for this program, we ALL are learning so much, right along side Thomas :)
We love this 15 yr old kid, and the highlight for him this bday was finally getting his very own phone!

You may have seen some of these already, but I just can't get over the sweetness of Andrew loving on tiny Bethany.
Andrew takes Biology at the home of one of our homeschool moms, he is in a class with 4 girls, but he has a good time and enjoys the lab portion.  His first dissection will be a sheep's brain!

I was just amazed at the clouds the other day as the girls and I were outside, and below........well.....that's my bug, and he loves to make me smile :)

Last day to work together and Gig 'Em

M and M had their last day together at Schlotzsky's this week.  It was so fun to go in and see them together these past few months. Mason stopped working there in order to work at a small business and get some accounting experience.

A friend gave Mason this fun A&M gift pack.  We are trying to uses phrases like Howdy and Gig 'Em.  I'm not really a gimmicky person - this might be hard for me!

Colorado 2013

One of our highlights- a 2 hour horse ride!
The girls loved watching Ryan prep the fish outside our cabin (I am looking through the screen door)
This was a cool fallen tree- with the branches sticking out in back.

This was a 2 mile- one way hike to "Inspiration Point" it was foggy when we started in the morning- the girls were excited to "touch the clouds"
 A cool beaver eating tree!
I could have just stood in this one spot for hours, looking at the beautiful scenery!
See the deer above? We were coming back down from Inspiration Point and saw this beauty.

One day it was rainy, but the girls still tried fishing at Love Lake with Ryan. (I stayed in the car, and played Go Fish with the girls as they would rotate in and out to get warm and dry!)

This was a hard hike, and we turned around part way through the trail, because we thought we were going to get a big rain- we booked it back- it never did rain- you can see Faith holding our ponchos.  The girls were such troopers!
We played cards and Farkle a lot at the kitchen table in the cabin.

We saw parts of the devastation from the Colorado fires this summer.
Parts of the trees were beginning to turn fall colors.
The girls like to play with the camera!
One morning it was cold as we were hiking, and Hannah wanted me to show how her nose was red from the cold!

We had a great time!  God is awesome and faithful!!!
