Faith's 10th Birthday Party

Friday Night, Abby Kate, Shelby, and Rhema came to spend the night, then Saturday at lunch, when they were running an errand with Ryan, I had some girls come for a surprise party.
It was fun to watch her friends get into it..and see Faith walk in.
Pizza for everyone, and we were hungry...

After pizza and presents, the girls did crafts, making suncatchers, and gluing sequins on hair clips.
Faith wanted Aunt Ju Ju's famouse goey chocolate cake for her party...
Hannah found this guy when we had a warm weather day...and of course, he had to be part of the pary!

MOJO Tennis

BEAUTIFUL day for tennis! Jake had a great time playing five matches. Bryce is a friend of his and finished second. They had to play the championship match against each other! I sat with Bryce's dad most of the day - a single dad whose wife left him with four children. They live in an apartment complex and he works quite hard to make ends meet. Bryce has a twin who also plays tennis. I am so blessed to have a faithful, involved partner and can't imagine being a single parent. Also abundantly blessed to have more than I need. Bryce's dad never complained about his circumstances - was just happy to be there watching his kid play.

Permian Eastside Schools Orchestra Concert

All of the elementaries, junior highs, and Permian High orchestra students joined together for a concert at Permian last night. I got teary-eyed being in the Permian Gym with that "Mojo Country" Panther staring at me, thinking how Luke played in this same gym as a 6th-grade orchestra student. Each group plays separately, then at the end they always play "Twinkle Twinkle" with the 6th-graders starting, then adding in the junior highs, then Permian High. That made me cry, too!

Cousins TN Visit

We had an absolutely marvelous visit with the Nienstadts and Crowells- our first full day was rainy, but we made the most of it!
Of course, the horses were a main attraction, and I (Deb) am so glad that everyone got to enjoy these "big boys"!

Yes, we took Dollar for a walk!

Ice cream for everyone!!
Below- this is not posed, I just had to capture this sleeping sweetheart.

The ground was pretty soggy with rain, so the go-kart gave us some more fun!

Lunch picnic in the back of the truck, on a sunny warm day.

How I cherish these moments, sweet play time!

I LOVED playing Scrabble with Katester, and reading to Banana-girl!

Below: a game of "Herd Your Horses"- Anmer won, but AK was a close second!

A LIVELY game of "Spoons"

Okay, so some (kid) friends of ours had dyed their hair with Kool-Aid (no sugar, just the powder in hot water).  Anmer found a tutorial on Pinterest, and we played beauty shop!

We were honored to celebrate Faith & Hannah's birthdays.  Didn't AK do great decorating Faith's cake?  Anmer did Hannah's.
