Mom and I went to Galveston for Dickens on the Strand. It is a festival that is held every year around Christmas. Several blocks get transformed into 19th Century England.
You see many people in authentic costumes.
The Queen of England.....well, at least the lady who has played the Queen for the past 19 years.
It even snowed. Which would have been a welcomed treat if it hadn't been bubbles. It was smokin HOT outside!!
Once the Strand got too crowded, we headed out on a boat for a dolphin tour. It was so fun - probably my favorite part of the day. Of course I missed the good pictures. Several dolphins jumped totally out of the water like they had been trained at Sea World.
This is so cool! See the dolphin out in front of the tug boat? They use tug boats as their personal playground. The dolphins swim in front of the boat and jump up as the waves push them forward. We saw this several times. It was a great day!
Those are good pics, Kel. I would think the dolphins would be scared of those big things!
